Affymetrix Optical Dichroic Filter Mount Assembly GeneChip Scanner Laser Optics

Precision optical filter mount assembly removed from an Affymetrix GeneChip microarray scanning system. This component contains a dichroic optical filter used to separate excitation laser light from fluorescence emission in laser-based imaging systems.

The assembly includes a black anodized aluminum mounting block, spring-loaded adjustable alignment arms, and the installed coated optical filter element.

Dichroic optics such as this are commonly used in fluorescence detection systems, laser scanners, and microscopy applications.
